Editor - The Omnibus Magazine
Tom Lynn takes over as Editor of the Omnibus Magazine from issue 577.
Tom has been interested in buses since childhood and would take every opportunity to travel around his native North East, United and the many local independents being his main interest with Northern and its subsidiaries a very close second! He first joined the Omnibus Society in 1982 as a Midland Branch member.
His career was in HM Customs & Excise but he still found time to obtain his PSV licence and drive coaches in his spare time and holidays, first in the Midlands and then, after a job relocation, the North West. After taking voluntary early retirement to enable him to drive full time, he spent the next 10 years happily doing tours, feeders and eventually National Express. Finally, after a few years on local service work he decided to hang up his vocational licence and try to live a normal life!
Since his final retirement he has been able to rekindle his interest in Society activities rejoining, after a short lapse in membership, as a North West & Yorkshire member. He is particularly enjoying doing all the trips around the British Isles that he never seemed to have the time for. His most memorable to date are Land’s End to John O’Groats by service bus and the Shetland Isles.
