Afternoon Meeting

Branch member Alan Millar will present a selection of items from the large volume of material and photographs left by the late Murdoch Currie at the same location at 14.00.

Murdoch started taking photographs around 1956 and the photographs will form the main part of the presentation. Most of the material will be Scottish but there will be a few things from England and Murdoch’s European travels. Murdoch had many highlights during his life which included obtaining his PhD, working at AERE Harwell and in Switzerland and later driving for Henderson Travel.

Murdoch’s involvement with the Society included his contributions to the Nationwide section of the Omnibus Magazine and leading service bus tours of the Glasgow area.

The presentation will undoubtedly be a fitting tribute to the life of Murdoch who was well known to many of us.

Tea, coffee and biscuits will be served during the meeting and those attending will be asked to make a small contribution towards the cost.
