Scottish Branch - Aberdeen tour

Broxden Park and Ride at 10.40 and Dundee outside Seagate Bus Station at 11.15

Dochertys of Auchterarder will provide the vehicle for this tour which will depart from Broxden Park and Ride at 10.40 and Dundee outside Seagate Bus Station at 11.15. Visits are proposed to JP Coaches at Forfar, First Aberdeen at King Street and Stagecoach Bluebird at Tullos. There will be a stop of approximately ninety minutes in Aberdeen City Centre and it is proposed that there will be a stop for fish and chips at Stonehaven on the return journey. The tour will return to Dundee around 19.00 and Broxden Park and Ride around 19.30.

The cost of hiring vehicles for tours on a commercial basis has risen considerably in recent times.  As a result, midi coaches have been hired for the May and June tours and on the basis of a fare of £25.00 per person the tours will still run at a loss. History would suggest that the capacity on the midi coaches will be sufficient for our party.   

However, to avoid any capacity problems, members wishing to join either or both of the tours are asked to email Ian Allan, the Acting Branch Secretary on ian@shisolicitors.co.uk or if this is not possible telephone him on 01383 724949 during business hours. Anybody who turns up on the day can only be accommodated if there are still seats available.

The matter of long distance tours in the future is something which will require to be addressed.
