Joint visit with North Western and Yorkshire Branch
Joint visit with North Western & Yorkshire Branch to Greater Manchester to see the transitional operations before franchising commences in September.
Visits in the area - on a preserved Leyland PD2 - are planned to Queens Road (Go NorthWest), Eccles (Diamond Bus and Little Gem), Bolton for a lunch break in the Interchange. Then Weston Street depot (Diamond Bus), Blackrod (Vision Bus) and Wigan (Stagecoach Manchester).
A coach will be provided from the Midlands to and from Manchester. Pick-ups will be at Birmingham, Colmore Row (stop SH3 near Halfax Bank) at 0800 and Stoke-on-Trent railway station at 0900. The fare will be as low as practicable.
