Buses, Pirates and Politics
Dr James Fowler
The December 2019 LHRG meeting will be feature a presentation by Dr James Fowler on the ‘Pirate Buses’ of the 1920s, their emergence and impact. Dr Fowler is a lecturer at the Essex Business School of the University of Essex. His wider research interests focus on the finance, governance and leadership of organisations in a historical context.
The meeting will be held at 18.00 for 18.30 on Thursday, 12 December 2019 in the ground floor meeting room at TfL, Palestra, 197 Blackfriars Road, SE1 8NJ (opposite Southwark tube station, buses 40, 63). The room is accessible directly from the Reception area and it is not necessary to book in via Reception. If you arrive early, please wait in the seated area beyond the Reception desk until the room becomes free.
