We welcome Roger French, a former OS President who was well-known as Managing Director of Brighton & Hove Bus & Coach. Roger went to Brighton (well, Hove, actually) as Assistant Traffic Manager in 1982 at Southdown, from 1985 leading the newly established Brighton & Hove company through privatisation and building its reputation as one of the most respected bus companies in Britain until his retirement in 2013. He is now widely known for his highly influential Bus & Train User blog, which reports on his travels around the UK bus and train network twice a week, bringing a 'no holds barred' insight into the reality of travelling by public transport throughout Britain. It should be required reading for everyone in public transport management.
