Tom MacLachlan

We are very sorry to announce that Tom McLachlan, an Omnibus Society Vice President, passed away on Friday 4th January. He had latterly suffered from memory loss, and passed away after a short illness. He was 92.

Tom was chairman of the Omnibus Society from 1973 to 1981 and was best known as general manager of Grey-Green, one of London's premier coach operators. Tom worked for Grey-Green for 36 years and was very highly regarded by everyone that knew him; he became very much an 'elder statesman' of the industry as a whole. He was a true gentleman who commanded real respect.
A full obituary will appear in the Omnibus Magazine shortly.
