Although we really hope that the present Covid-19 crisis will continue to abate, the Society’s management team has decided that as there is much uncertainty, in the best interests of everyone, all events (meeting, tours and visits), between now and the end of December 2020, will be cancelled.
Where practical, it is hoped that many of these can be incorporated into the programmes for 2021 onwards. The Presidential Weekend scheduled for September has been postponed until 2021. Dates and further details will be announced nearer the time.
We are especially conscious of a duty of care and are aware of the high age profile of some us, along with the fact that all those in the bus industry are extremely busy and need to concentrate on keeping businesses going in very challenging conditions. There is no point in taking any avoidable risks and instead look forward to a time when we can all meet safely and in comfort.
The whole matter will be kept under review and clearly if the situation improves substantially and larger social gatherings can be held safely, this decision will be reconsidered.
