Visits to Chepstow Classic, Newport Transport and Stagecoach at Cwmbran.
The day will start for those not arriving from the Midlands around 1030 with a visit to Chepstow Classic Bus in Bulwark. This will be followed by a tour of the premises at Newport Transport and a chance to see the facilities for supporting their growing electric fleet. We hope to arrive in Newport for around 1200. In the afternoon there will be visits to the new Stagecoach depot in Cwmbran and to Phil Anslow at Varteg Hill.
It is planned to provide transport for members between Chepstow and Newport and then later from Newport to Cwmbran so those arriving by car can park in Chepstow and then return from Cwmbran to Chepstow on Phil Anslow service 63 at 16:40 from Cwmbran, arriving back at Chepstow at 17:45.
It is hoped that within the day, subject to availability, there will be a chance to ride on Newport Transport’s Leyland PD2 PDW 484.
