Information request

TfL and Covid-19

The London Transport Museum Library has issued a request for information:

We are looking forward to welcoming visitors back to the Museum library as soon as it is safe to do so. In the meantime we are trying to collect news articles about the impact of the pandemic on London’s transport from newspapers, magazines and digital sources.  This will be sorted into a valuable resource to inform future researchers.  If readers would like to help us with this project by collecting material at home until such time as Helen and I can receive it in the library, we would be most grateful.  We are looking for whole pages from daily/weekly newspapers or magazines including the article and crucial publication name and date details (so you don’t need to cut articles out), also print-outs of digital articles, or leaflets you might see out and about that include information about transport.  When the library reopens, we will let you know how to send things to us. It’s difficult to monitor and collect material under the current circumstances so please don’t assume we have seen or are able to get hold of things, even when it’s in the mainstream media.  If we end up with multiple copies of the same thing, that’s not a problem.  At least we’ll know we haven’t missed it! We hope you can hang on to material until we reopen and thank you in advance for your help.
